There are certain things that immediately tell you you're in the world of Asterix.
But beyond the winged helmets and famous characters, there are a few ingredients that appear again and again — and they're a big part of what makes the stories so much fun.
There's always an adventure
Life is rarely quiet in Asterix's village.
One moment everything is relatively peaceful. The next, someone is travelling across Gaul, taking on the Romans or getting pulled into an entirely unexpected mission.
That constant sense that something could happen at any moment is part of the charm.
And it's something we wanted to capture in Asterix x Zipster.
Clothes made for moving, playing, exploring and whatever happens next.
The heroes don't take themselves too seriously
Asterix may be heroic, but the world around him is wonderfully ridiculous.
Obelix's appetite.
The Romans' increasingly unsuccessful plans.
Village arguments that escalate spectacularly.
Dogmatix making his feelings known.
Even the biggest adventure always leaves room for a joke.
That combination of action and humour was one of our favourite elements to bring into the collection, particularly through character artwork and playful prints.
Friendship is at the centre of everything
Asterix and Obelix wouldn't be nearly as much fun separately.
Their personalities couldn't be more different, but that's exactly why they work.
One plans.
One probably knocks down the door.
And Dogmatix isn't usually far behind.
Underneath all of the chaos, the adventures are ultimately about showing up for your friends — even when that involves travelling halfway across Europe or fighting an entire Roman camp.
And then there's the food
Perhaps our favourite Asterix tradition of all.
The banquet.
Again and again, adventures finish with the village gathered together around a table, eating, celebrating and telling stories.
Naturally, we couldn't launch Asterix x Zipster without having one of our own.
Our Sunday Morning Banquet
For the campaign, we took the spirit of an Asterix feast and brought it into a family home.
No Roman camp required.
Instead there was breakfast, cooking, comics, children playing, food being shared and a table that gradually became the centre of everything.
Our Sunday Morning Banquet was designed to feel warm and slightly chaotic rather than perfectly styled.
The kind of morning where everyone stays in their pyjamas a little longer than planned.
And the banquet remains peaceful for approximately three seconds.
Asterix x Zipster
That mix of adventure, humour, friendship, food and mischief became the starting point for the whole collection.
You'll find Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix across bamboo babywear, children's pyjamas, playwear and styles for grown-ups, all designed with comfort at the centre.
After all, every little adventurer needs the right armour.
