Caring for Your Zipster Bamboo Baby Clothing: A Guide for Long-Lasting Softness

Wash Gently to Keep the Softness

To maintain the natural softness of bamboo, wash on a gentle cycle in cold water, no higher than 30 degrees. Use a mild, baby-safe detergent that’s free from harsh chemicals to avoid irritating sensitive skin.

Tip: Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they can break down bamboo fibers over time, making the fabric lose its soft touch.

Wash Separately When Possible

Bamboo is a delicate fiber and can be easily snagged or pilled if washed with rough fabrics like jeans, towels or velcro. To keep your Zipster bamboo clothes in top shape, try washing them with similar, soft items.

Tip: Using a laundry bag can add an extra layer of protection, keeping the fabric smooth and free from snags.

Air Dry for Longer-Lasting Clothes

Heat can weaken bamboo fibers, so it's best to avoid the dryer whenever possible. After washing, reshape the clothing and hang it up or lay it flat to dry naturally. This helps the clothes stay soft and in perfect shape.

Tip: If you’re in a pinch and need to use a dryer, opt for the lowest heat setting to reduce the risk of shrinkage.

Before washing your Zipster bamboo garments, turn them inside out and zip up any zippers! This quick step helps protect the fabric and the shape of the clothing.

Tackling Tough Stains

Little ones are bound to create messes, and bamboo fabric isn’t immune to stains. For an effective DIY stain remover, combine a paste of baking soda and water. Gently work it into the stain, then rinse well before washing. For more persistent stains, try soaking the garment for 30-45 minutes—but be sure to remove stains before drying to avoid setting them permanently!
